Experience and qualifications
I have been working as a professional editor since 1996, and have specialised in editing biological and medical science since 1998.
In 1998 I started editing scientific articles for authors with English as a second language. I also started working as a manuscript editor for the Medical Journal of Australia in that year.
I have a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in biochemistry and genetics, and research experience in pharmacology and in microsatellite analysis for population genetics of endangered species.
My editing qualifications are a Diploma in Book Editing and Publishing, and Certification from the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences (BELS).
Major editing and proofreading projects
Most of my editing has involved scientific research articles, either as an author’s editor or as mansucript editor for the Medical Journal of Australia. Nevertheless, I have also been involved in producing some larger works.
